Hanna Alkaf is a writer with over 10 years of experience in journalism in communications. Her articles have appeared in Marie Claire, Female, Shape, Her World, Esquire, the NST, the Star, Malaysiakini and Cilisos, among others, and her first book, GILA — an exploration of mental illness in Malaysia — was published in 2016. Hanna currently juggles freelance assignments with motherhood, and tries to find time to write between play time, nap time, mealtimes, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse time, with varying degrees of success.
