Zan Azlee is a journalist, writer, documentary filmmaker and teacher. He has produced numerous documentaries and reports mainly from conflict areas such as Afghanistan, Lebanon, Southern Thailand, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey. He has also written half a dozen non-fiction books relating to issues of politics, religion, race, conflict and journalism. Zan runs Fat Bidin Media (Fatbidin.com), a multimedia content development company, and is a regular contributor to various news organisations such as CNN, TRT World, BBC, Asian Correspondent, Global Post, VPRO TV and Malaysiakini.
